There were few of us that really though that. All day long on the radio, everyone was predicting a buckeye slaughter.
Go Gators and Go SEC!!

I personally do not believe that you "pull for the conference teams"....I knew I could not pull for the Suckeyes in this one but then again I could not bring myself to pull for teh GAYtors either...I really didnt even plan on watching the game at all...afterall, I have gone completely low profile from th e sports scene and the public scene also to a certain degree... But I just happened to be at the apartment of my girlfriends daughter when the telecast began...when the Suckeye band played in teh pregame and wrote out OHIO" and dotted the eye, I became completely nausiated, especially when the tuba player (at least I think he was the tuba player) did this stupid move and smiled like a constipated possum...it wasnt hard for me to pull for the GAYtors after that...I still didnt watch teh game but I did listen to parts on teh radio until just before halftime...this morning (very early morning at that) I saw on the internet that teh GAYtors were national champs and had kicked the eyes out of teh Sucks...I was happy...

Wow, did my gators make the Big Eleven champs look horrible or what?? Chris Leak and offense was flawless in the first half. And Co Coordinators Charlie Strong and Gregg Mattison stopped Mr. Heisman Troy Smith dead in his tracks.

I dont think it was so much the D coordinators had a good game plan, the SEC speed clearly showed in this one. A couple of weeks ago the Florida Georgia game was on CSS, and Ohio State Michigan was on ESPN Classic. I would switch between the two, and the OSU Mich game literally looked like slow motion.

The front 7 absolutely controled this one from start to finish. The OL from OSU looked so slow and out of shape it was pathetic that a team like that can come from such a weak conference and play for the title...Boise could have beaten the the way they played in that one. OSU would be a 4th-5th place team in the SEC with luck. The front 7 mutilated Smith; I remember how fast Smith seemed on ESPN all season during the Big 10 games then came the Gators and the D-ends were walking him down from behind...he was brutalized. The D-Coordinators did a good job mixing up their coverages and blitz packages...and it expose how mentally week Smith was and how physically lacking his receivers were...Ginn being out hurt, but not 27 points worth. Good win for the SEC...this game shows me how close the Vols were this season as well. I am ceratin Cutcliffe will go for the jugular next season given the same opportunity.
