the fab-7 is good enough to beat kids their own age, which they are doing when they play AAU ball. It is a little different when you are playing against juniors and seniors every night. I say this from experience. Theres a big difference between a kid who is 18 and one that is 15 or 16. It is hard to win in our district with all soph's. no matter who is coaching. I'm not saying that Pierce is the greatest coach by no means, but it would be hard for anyone to have a great year with these young kids. I believe if they stuck together that would probably be good over the next couple of years with the right coaching.

Cant be confirmed but i heard the new cougars got beat by 50 in christmas tourny. lost by 20 to seymour ,won a 1 point contest and went 1-2 overall ....... if this is true then Coach P has a record of 4-9 this year. he needs just 1 more victory to match last years grand total. it will be tuff with Oak Ridge, Powell coming up. but who knows with flu season fast approaching maybe we can catch a break .......

Clinton beat Powell and the Cougars beat Clinton. At this point its anyones game. 2 of the 4 wins were with the new cougars who haven't played as many games as the old. The Oak Ridge game would have been bad either way, even with the old cougars. Mainly due to their youth.

I just have one thing to say. I have personally talked with some of the new CCHS cougars. Unlike the "fab 7" their spirits are higher than ever. Even the ones who arent getting to play that much are proud that they can represent Campbell County high school. You know its just a game. Instead of whining about coaches and playing time these kids are supporting the team and BEING THERE for each other (something the others couldnt do). I am proud to support these cougars. I still say that if the parents would have stayed out of it, the kids would not have quit. Parents are responsible for their children losing a year of basketball. They will keep on trying to get "their coach".... As for me I will always stand behind WHAT IS RIGHT. Not going behind closed doors to get something done. Even if it does get my son/daughter/cousin/neighbor better standings i will not cut throats and backstab. Parents are supposed to be models (pastors even more) for their children and the children in the community. What they have caused is outrageous. It has split the students and all other people in Campbell County apart. Good going, way to set an example. In their minds the end always justifices the means...no matter who it hurts...People a word of advice, "Think Logically not EMOTIONALLY" great statement fighthepower Sums it all up about the 7 Fight the Power......

the aau bunch were actually picked by pierce to be on his high school team and if they are REALLY not any good then how good of a coach is he. personally i feel all the cougs are great and will support whoever is on the floor or anyone who represents CC in aau.

I want to congratualte that AAU team. I think they were given bad advise by a higher up and it would have been easy for them to say the heck with it when the promises were not delivered. I'm glad they are still playing and I wish them all the luck in the world in their future endeavors.

I did not mean that the 7 were no good. They are very talented. The other teams in aau at this time are usually the ones that hadn't made the high school team. Later in the year after school ball is over the aau teams become more competitive.

gotcha guest, sorry i took that wrong. i hope both teams that represent CC get through this whole thing. who knows maybe all the boys involved on both teams have learned a lesson and then when they grow up if they stick it out in CC they can be leaders who know the problems and how to handle them from experience. learn, teach, relearn. it's a cycle that keeps a community and a person growing. if you stop at any one of these steps then you have stopped growing. Life is a continuous lesson, it just seems here in CC we can't get our homework done.

Well owlsbballmomma or vixen or whatever your name is...Sounds like your just one of the "fab 7's" angry mammas...Aww lets shed a tear because your son is not on the squad. I have an idea who you are, and just because you can talk to the football coach the way you want doesnt mean you can tell everybody else what to do....face it the kids wouldnt have quit if they werent pushed by Yourself and your POWERhungry militia.... Well fightthepower, I have pondered responding to your personal attack upon my wife and how I would respond. It is very obvious that you do not read previous posts within the forum. If you did then you would know exactly who she is and who I am. It really doesn't matter what you think. I think that you post just to hear your keyboard rattle and to pass the time. There are people in the county who do not like me and that is their God given right. Doesn't matter because they don't control my family or it's way of life. We will be putting kids through CC schools for the next 18 years. What happens there is our business and just like you, we can voice our opinions here. We have had the pleasure of associating with the old and new Cougars throughout the years. Many of them have even spent the night at our home and are welcome at anytime. That is the majority of the problem with this whole situation, the fact that everybody is not using the logic they have been blessed with. When things get heated people just start rattling off and say whatever without thinking. My suggestion is to know who you are talking to before placing an identity on someone you think is someone else. Other than that, have a "Happy New Year" and may God bless you.

i have to agree with F the power \ really Coach Pierce has set a fine example for our youth he played a illegal recuit from kentucky back in the late 80's ( Joe Carrol) but i am sure he didnt do anything wrong or have secret meeting with him or his family-( LOL ) he has molded so many fine young men into to leaders in the community? he has taught us that winning isnt everything, who cares if you lose 20 games a year, he has taught us that the weave isnt just a hair style , it can be a tool to limit what the final score of defeat is, he is a great communicator, his after game show is one of the best how he goes into detail about the game and the kids?--LOL yeah fight your right he is a real class act " tell your parents to Kiss my @$$ " ----- should be in the high school coaching hall of fame, i mean really do you know anyone else that can boast of 160 career losses against 90 wins..... thats real impressive...... he is really a special coach to be able to keep his job after all that, but hey this is CC and its the ole boy network. you keep blaming the so called fab 7 and their parents, but what about the countless number of kids that have quit , transfered or walked away because of your fine Coach, some of the same kids are back on the team now, does that make them cut throats? what about the ones who are playing for AC now are they quitters? no way the ones that are playing now and the ones that transfered are all good kids, this problem with Coach has been going on for years now, but no one wanted to take on the war for a better future for our kids in BBALL. support the new coug's? sure i will and will the so called fab 7's.. they didnt start this mess ---------- they chose to CLEAN IT UP..........numbers dont lie 90-160 isnt a winning coach.......ps i was told the year Pierce played Carroll we won 28 games. but we had to forfiet all the wins and kicked out of the regional tournament. so would Coach Pierce's record really be 52-188?? just a tought..... PS----------- AC is 10-4 with 2-3 kids from CCHS playing for them..... in my next blog/ post i will share comments from famous people about our great coach. That is by far the funniest statement I've ever read on here. The great thing is.... it's all true just one correction note: the record you're using is only his record since he returned to coaching in the late 90's but either way it's pitiful and sad

One more thing. I'm dying of anticipation for Fightthepowers response. If you can logically argue with that, I want you as my full time attorney.
